Course Description:

This course introduces participants to the basic principles of measuring and billing in an office environment. Participants work in small teams sharing responsibility for quality and timeliness in producing a bill of quantities as an assignment. Participants will be using a set of tender documents for an actual project. The documents documents contain a number of inconsistencies that the participants will need to resolve before the assignment can be completed.

Course Objectives:

• Achieve an understanding of the impact of working with complex documents in a team environment
• Resolving documentation quality issues and keeping records of agreements
• Composition of builder's costs in relation to "Preliminaries" and trade "Preambles"
